It is officially summer y’all! Since this summer might be feeling a little different than most, we wanted to get you inspired and give you some exciting ideas for how you can turn your backyard into a summer oasis! All of you who had trips planned and you had to cancel, or events that got postponed, now is the time you can make your own backyard a beautiful safe haven: a place of security, peace and comfort and one that brings a smile to your face. And when you need to escape from your new “work from home life” or decompress from any stressors in the world around you, you have a beautifully curated space right at your footsteps.
In this blog we will be showing you how you can use some of our favorite summer products to create a cozy outdoor oasis with a fun tablescape, our fav poolside + picnic products, bar cart essentials, and tools for the king or queen of the grill!
Summer Tablescape
Ahhh, eating outside on beautiful summer nights are our favorite. Just something about the fresh air, cool breeze and watching California sunsets after a yummy meal. We thought it would be fun to show you how you can pair different items together to create a fun + simple tablescape. Here we used some of our favorite table settings, including these white linen placemats paired with these black fringed trivets, and our favorite denim napkins. So much good texture! And what about these stools? I feel like they compliment these fringe trivets perfectly! We also used this amazing deep acacia bowl for our salad with some antique bronze salad utensils.
Added some bright flowers in our white color block vase and we were ready to pour a glass of wine and enjoy some appetizers!

Sittin’ Poolside
You guys, we have SO MANY good beach/bath towels right now! We had to showcase these beauties for you all to see! These are great for sitting by the pool or even throwing in your hiking or beach bag. The turkish towels are lightweight so they can even be used as a blanket or scarf.
We also wanted to show how adorable these brim hats are. They are the perfect size to help keep your face shaded on sunny days and goes with just about any outfit! Can also be used as wall decor to add some character to your space.
Add a tray, basket and some sunnies and you are ready for a day full of sunshine + vitamin D.

Picnic Picks
I think picnics are a past time that should never go out of style. Especially nowadays, you don’t have to go far to enjoy some yummy cheese and wine. You can do something low-key in your own backyard. And that is just what we did last weekend. Warning: You might spot a little boston terrier in a pic or two. He was loving the Turkish towel and being our model for the evening.
The bigger the picnic blanket, the better! So we chose to use two of our favorites: a round Turkish towel and this bold Moroccan rug! This rug would be perfect for a group of people, big enough to lay down and get comfortable or if its just a picnic for two, this Turkish round towel would do.

Bar Cart Essentials
Whether you like to enjoy an occasional cocktail or host get togethers at your home, you can’t beat a well stocked bar or better yet, a mobile bar cart! To style this brass bar cart, we added some of our favorite items from the shop that can not only be enjoyed during summer but all year around.

Grillin’ Time
Who doesn’t love some good barbecue? BBQ chicken, corn on the cob, kabobs, stuffed peppers. I could do this all day. But seriously, yummy summer recipes make me do a little happy dance inside. Some of our favorite kitchen accessories are part of this denim collection — vintage denim aprons, pot holders, oven mitts and placemats. Denim is so versatile and can be worn by men and women.
Another hot item in our shop are these handheld porcelain spice grinders. They are perfect for making those homemade spice blends, allowing you to control the fineness of your rub. A pair of terrazzo cellars also make a great addition to your kitchen/grillin’ tools. They are the perfect pair pinch pots for your salt and pepper or any other seasonings you use on the regular.
