Can you believe it? November is already halfway over! It's been a great couple weeks here at the shop, we have everything looking festive and cozy, and we are loving seeing everyone as you start coming out for your holiday shopping!
Speaking of which, we wanted to mention something that is very important to us as a small business, and that is shopping small & shopping local for the holiday season! Last year was something none of us expected, many of us spent our holidays away from our loved ones and friends, and it was tough! Things certainly aren't completely back to normal yet, but we are getting closer every day, and feeling so excited about a holiday season filled with gatherings & gift giving!
One thing we know we'll be doing this year since we don't have to do all of our shopping online, is supporting other small businesses like our own. Main Street in Placerville is such a magical place this time of year! We have everything you need here for home decor, entertaining, and thoughtful gift shopping. Many of the shops here (including us!) feature local artists and handmade goods - so when you support us, you support them, and we think that's really important this time of year!

A lot of folks assume we're mostly just home decor & design, but we can assure you… we are so much more! Have you seen our new handmade ceramics from local artist Cristina Arizmendi? They are so unique and beautiful, not to mention functional! Not only do we have her mugs and candle holders, we also have kitchen accessories like sponge holders & spoon rests. They make perfect gifts for the homebody in your life, and you can only get them here!
Our glass canister gift sets are a shop favorite. Not only are you getting something filled with fun goodies, it all comes "wrapped" in a beautiful glass canister! This year you can snag one filled with our favorite coffee from Totem Coffee Roasters, pasta from Winterhill, or let us help you pick the perfect items to fill your own!
We also have pre-made gift sets for the charcuterie lovers in your life, featuring beautiful boards and books, our favorite french linen tea towels, and other accessories you need to step up your spread making game! Each pre-made gift set is perfectly put together with everything you need + decorated to look adorable! Either a bow or a flashy ornament is sure to be on top.
Speaking of charcuterie, we're getting ready to host our last big gathering event of the year! Our Holiday Gather & Wrap Event is this coming Thursday, November 18th from 5:30-8pm. There’s very few tickets left, & they’re selling quick, so make sure to call the shop ASAP if you’re interested in attending!
We’re so thrilled to be hosting some of our favorite local small businesses for this holiday season. Here in El Dorado County, we are all about community - Main Street or Fairgrounds festivities, local farmers markets, local businesses & restaurants, we’re here for it all. One of the many great things about living in a small town like ours, is that sense of community & the many talented small business owners we have here. Especially after last year, we are so excited to shop small for the holidays this year & help to support our favorite local businesses.
