It’s about that time friends!! Our semi-annual floor sale is coming up next week on August 20th + 21st! We feel a little like a broken record but our sales just keep getting better and we are having so much fun getting everything together for our BEST sale yet!!
Our team of talented boss babes have been having a blast behind the scenes dreaming up fun discounts and details for the sale. Which reminded us that we haven’t properly introduced you to the team that keeps Brass + Oak fresh and fun and your favorite place to shop!!
Let’s start with our newest addition to the team, the lovely and sweet Ania (she says “like Tonya without the T.”) She’s such a great fit, it feels like she’s been here forever! Ania was born in Poland and lived in So Cal but is now loving our El Dorado County trees! She is a mom of three girls with a passion for fashion and design. Ania owns a sustainable vintage Instagram and Etsy shop and has a deep interest in classic literature and political science. She is an Army Veteran. We are loving her design eye and fun vintage fashions in the shop - she’s currently around Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays so pop in for some serious outfit goals!!
We asked Ania to pick her favorite item that will be available for our upcoming sale. Without hesitation, she took us to her absolute favorite piece on the floor - the gorgeous Rothco chair. This beauty has luxe and durable leather fabrication, beautiful details, and it swivels!! Functional, so stylish, and fun . . . if you love it like Ania does, do NOT hesitate. This chair is going to find a home quickly and so we encourage you to come on down to the shop prior to the sale with measurements and pictures of your space. Do you have the perfect throw pillow? Bring it down and make sure it works prior to the craziness of the sale.
You may recognize Marie from our social media stories and posts. She is our fantastic new shop manager and we are thanking our lucky stars for her! Marie also owns her own Etsy shop (loving the creativity from our team) where she sells her handmade macrame/fiber art. Marie loves bluegrass and southern gothic country music. She is big on camping and kayaking and loves shopping for vintage goods! Marie is fun, smart, and just so cool. Our customers have been loving her and we are enjoying the fun and happy vibe she’s brought to the shop!
Marie’s sale pick is a lot like Marie - fun, gorgeous, and fabulous - the Skylar accent chair! This floor sample is neutral and comfy but with absolutely luxurious gold legs. It’s truly a mix of California cool and sophisticate elegance. And even better? The fabric on the Skylar is “KID-PROOF” a signature performance fabric that our Rowe line of upholstery offers which repels stains and makes spot treating a breeze! Just like the rest of the pieces, we know you all will love her and she’s going to be in high demand.
Meet Jamie! She’s the voice and photographer behind the scenes and takes care of the social media and marketing arenas for the shop. Jamie is a baseball and yoga-obsessed mom of 3 boys who loves the chance to share all the amazing things going on at Brass + Oak. Jamie and her family are San Diego transplants and who bought their dream A-frame in Camino in January. She loves hiking, paddle-boarding, reading, live music, cooking and WINE . . . you can see why El Dorado county has been a fantastic fit!
Jamie’s pick for the sale is a little different - she is all about those gorgeous rugs! She actually ordered an amazing custom rug from the January floor sale and now has her eye on a few of our one of a kind vintage rugs that are going to be discounted with the sale . . . and maybe a performance runner or two to keep those boys from sliding down the hallways during Camino snowstorms! She loves the unique details that come with the vintage area rugs and will be joining you all in line for the sale Friday morning!
And you all know and love her, she needs no introduction . . . Molly is the heart of Brass + Oak. Our ambitious boss babe and mama to be, Molly is a beloved local Interior Designer and the owner of B+O. Molly is a hometown girl - she grew up locally before spending many years living and working in California’s most energetic and inspiring cities - Los Angeles & San Francisco. She returned to Placerville bringing her concept of high design and an ultrachic aesthetic. Molly is married to Ben, owner of Placerville’s beloved Heyday Cafe and they have been getting all the parenting practice in with two cutest Boston Terriers - Hudson and Revere.
Brass + Oak is a unique retail experience - an opportunity to shop the high-end furniture, lighting, rugs, and accessories that Molly sources in her design projects. And next week our lucky customers will score amazing deals and finds as we make room in the shop for all new pieces coming!
Molly’s pick for the sale is an easy one - she already has it in her home! Molly and Ben love the Bradford sofa and since they are both taller, the higher seat with the foam cushion make it easier to get up . . . without sacrificing comfort as the Bradford has a down back. It has a beautiful swooped arm and is a slipcover also in the signature “KID-PROOF” fabric so it’s not only beautiful but easy to take care of.
